تعلم التحدث بالانجليزية الامريكية

(to) change one's mind يبدل رأيه

easier said than done أكثر صعوبة مما تعتقد

(to) get canned يفقد عمله, يطرد من العمل

(to) hang in there يدأب, لا يستسلم

if worse comes to worst في أسو الظروف

(to) keep one's chin up أن تكون إيجابيا و متفائلا

last resort السبيل الواحد الباقي

(to) live from hand to mouth يعيش على الكفاف, من غير تزود للمستقبل

(to) look on the bright side النظر إلى الجانب الايجابي من الأمور

أن تكون متفائلا

(to) make ends meet يقتصد في الإنفاق لئلا يتخطى حدود دخله

out of work عاطل عن العمل

right-hand man شخص معتمد أو لا يستغنى عنه

(to) set eyes on يرى

(to) stab someone in the back يخون

(to be) stressed-out قلق, تحت ضغط كبير

(to) tell off يوبخ

thank goodness تعبير يفيد معنى الامتنان و الانفراج

(to) think big يضع لنفسه أهدافا عالية

What's the matter? ما المشكلة؟

When pigs fly! تقال هذه العبارة للتعبير عن استحالة وقوع شيء ما.

ولا في مليون سنة!

In the beginning of the video,
Susan suggests that he start his own business

Word "start" should be 's' because of he

From my book; (Advanced Language Practise with Key)

After verbs such as demand, insist, suggest, require which involve an implied obligation, the subjunctive may be used in formal style. This has only one form, that of the infinitive, and there is no third person -s, or past form. The verb be has be for all forms.

They demanded that he leave at once.

The school principle suggested that he be awarded a scholarship.

(These sentences express a wish in a formal way, they don't express facts)
