في حوار اليوم ستتعلم مجموعة من الكلمات الانجليزية العامية و هي كالتالي:
To give somebody a hand وهو يساعد باللانجلزية العامية
To goof up يرتكب خطا (انجليزية عامية)
See? تقال هذه الكلمة عادة في الانجليزية بمعنى " هل تفهم"
النطق و العامية الانجليزية:
هنا ستتعلم نطق بعض الكلمات في الانجليزية العامية:
Gimme وهي طريقة لطق give me في الانجليزية العامية
Whaddya doin'? طريقة لنطق what are you doing? بالانجليزية العامية, وتعني ماذا تفعل.
Limme هي let me في الانجليزية العامية
Hafta طريقة لنطق have to في الانجليزية
القواعد والسبوكن انغلش:
See? في الاصل هذه الكلمة والتي تعتبر سؤالا يجب أن تكتب هكذا do you see? لكن في الانجليزية المحكية يتم ازالة الفعل الساعد والضمير لان المقصود واضح

· im an enlgish speaker and instead of saying gimmie that you would need to say please gimmie somthing instead of gimmie that! other wise you areronsiderd rude!

· proper slang is where u r like not even sayin it rite like makin up a word to go wiv a different u just can b bother to say or proper abriviations like CBA= cant be arsed
· To me 'slang' is things like 'ain't' 'bling' and 'da bomb.' Slang is something beyond informal English. Informal English can be found everywhere.
· 'See?' is not slang. 'I see' is standard English for 'I understand.'

· "Tough cookie" (and "smart cookie") are compliments. It's informal English, but you'll see it and hear it in the news. A "tough cookie" is a strong, determined person. S/he knows what needs to be done and/ or wants to achieve something, and s/he has the ability to accomplish it.
Example: Martha put herself through law school. She worked nights and went to school during the day. She's now in one of the best law firms in the city. She's one tough cookie.

Very informal question.
In a very close relationship (e.g. a child to his best friend), people ask this question to find out what activity another person is engaged in.
Example:
Son: Hey, Dad! Whatcha doin'? Can I help?
Father: I'm builing a birdhouse. Sure you can help. Wanna paint it with me?
· People should be careful when using "gimme", it can be considered very rude, especially when asking for for some object. If you were to say "gimme a cookie" it would be considered rude.
· True. "Gimme" used alone sounds rude. In the video I present "gimme a hand, will you?", which is fine to say in very informal situations.
Another example -
Your roommate wants to leave soon for a movie, but you're not quite ready. As you run to the bathroom, you call out: "Gimme jus' 2 minutes to brush my teeth, okay?"
· hmm. goof up? i dont think that ppl use that one that much. I "goofed" or "messed up" wud be more likely
· That's the tough thing about teaching slang. Each individual has a way of expressing himself or herself. Expressions that I use may not be used by my brother, friend, neighbor, etc. However, they are expressions that are understood by them. In any case, I'd argue that GOOF UP is common enough to present here. If you type it in a search engine like YAHOO, you'll see it used in a variety of sources.

We have the identical expression in Italian:
"dare una mano a qualcuno".

· Slang is acceptable in informal writing. For example, if you're writing to a friend via e-mail, use of slang is fine.
In text messaging, nonstandard spelling is often used because it's quicker. Example: GONNA for GOING TO.
WE SHOULD NEVER USE NONSTANDARD SPELLING IN OTHER CONTEXTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN WRITING FOR ACADEMIC OR PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES.
· You shouldn't use the slang spellings, unless you are goofing around with your friends.
